Areas of Research

The Department of Economics at McMaster University has faculty members with expertise in econometrics, experimental economics, growth and monetary economics, health economics, international economics, labour economics, macroeconomics, microeconomics, population economics, and public economics. Most of their research is applied to policy issues and utilizes advanced quantitative techniques.

Research Program on the Social and Economic Dimensions of an Aging Population (SEDAP)

SEDAP is a multi-disciplinary research program funded primarily by SSHRC and centered at McMaster University. It involves 46 academics from fourteen universities in Canada and three abroad.
